Abstract : In many localities of Togo, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas, access to safe drinking water remains a major challenge. Within the framework of the implementation of the SP-EAU/AFD project in the Plateaux Region, the construction of an elevated water tower was selected in order to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply of potable water to the locality of Gléi. This dissertation focuses on the design and detailed technical study of a truncated-cone water tower with a storage capacity of 300m3. The adopted methodology is structured around: (i) the presentation of the host institution and the project; (ii) general considerations on water towers and the methodology for designing such structures; (iii) the geometric and structural design of the water tower in Gléi; and finally (iv) the assessment of the environmental and social impacts, as well as the financial cost estimation of the project. The results obtained demonstrate that the proposed 300 m³ truncated-cone water tower is technically feasible, with an estimated total cost of one hundred sixty-two million seventy-eight thousand eight hundred twenty CFA francs, including four million eight hundred fifty-nine thousand five hundred CFA francs allocated to the environmental and social impact asses
