Note générale :	A schistosomiasis transmission model is developed and verified using thirteen years of data supplied by the bihlarziosis control project and the dez pilat irrigation project/ Iran. The avantage of the model is that it requieres fewer data inputs than of the models. A good fit was obtained between predicted and observed levels of infection. Values for meters of accessible snail habitats and the numbers of infected people were corrected to account for control measures used. The results indicated that a combinaison of chemistherepy, mollusciding, and engineering is most cost-effective over the long term.
