Note générale :	From analyses of the rainfall record for Kano and Sokoto it appears very likely that the rainfall at Kano and Sokoto during the 1974 season will be higher than the rainfall during 1973, and rather less likely that it will be higher than that during 1972. From an examination of the time variation of the annual rainfall at six stations in northern Nigeria, it seems very likely that the annual rainfall in Sudan (and Sahel) region will increase towards 1980.
