"The Bia development, in its final stage includes the harnessing, of two fall: the first known as the ""ayaméfall"", or hte upstream fall, is, in the course of development at the present time. It will provide, from the end of 1959, the energy which is required to meet the increasing needs of town of Abidjan, and the surrounding region. The seconde fall, know as the ""downstreams fall"" is being studied, and will be made the object of exhaustive reconnaissance work in the nex few years. Its potential power production appears to be of the same order as that of the wastream fall, whose seasonal reserve will be utilised by the upstream project." |
