The main emphasis of the text, however, is on the hydogeologie and mathematical concepts needed to be able to couvert actual field data into a model. There is a fairly detailed description of the polygonal model technique because of its flexibility to cover many pratical groundwater conditions. Only brief reference is made to finite difference methods and to use of programmes prepared for analysis of electronic circuits. The final chapter briefly reviews some of the present and potential uses of the ground-water model in water ressources planning. the annexes are important and are essentially reproductions of other papers and give enough detail so that a mathematical model of a groundwater basin can be prepared for the computer.
