Implements were developed for applying liquid and granular herbicides, for mechanical weeding, for harvesting groudnuts and for processing kenaf. the more promising machines were demonstrated and tried out by local farmers. Four mechanical weeders a graindnut lifter and single oxharness were found to be suitable for use in the northern states of Nigeria at the present time.
