Beginning in 1956, only water-level data from a basic network of observation wells have been published. Measurements are made in many types of well, under varying conditions of access and at different temperatures, hence, neither the method of measurement nor the equipment can be standardized. Water-level measurement in this report are given in feet with reference to either mean sea level (msl) or land - surface datum (lsd).
