The export statistics reflect exports of merchandise from Liberian customs to foreign countries of destination. The statistics include both government and non government exports, without regard to whether the shipment involues a commercial transaction. However, merchandise shipped under customs custody through Liberia in transit from one foreign country to another is not included. Also excluded are ship and aircroft store, personal baggage accompanying travelers, non- commercial export by mail, temporary exports and the return of temporary imports, and goods for the personal use of Liberian officials abroad. Data on withdrawals from warchouse for re - export, versel sufflies or bunker fuel are also excluded from the totals. |
