Note générale : |
The clinch river overage flow at clinch river mile (CRM) 20.8, the month of white Oak creek, is about 4600 cfs. It had received releases of low-activity wastes for approximately 15 years, 1944 to 1959. This contaminated waste water resulted from operations at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, located on the white Oak creek drainage basin, its discharge to the clinch and Tennessee rivers was carefully monitored during the 15 years interval . The overage flow at chickanauga dam, Tennesse river mille (TRM) 471.0, about 118 river miles downstream from Oak ridge, is approximately 37, 000 cfs. Moritoring results have indicated that over 7000 curies of mixed fission products have been discharged to the river. |
