The national red cross and the crescent societies in the regions have in every case responded to the challenge of helping to meet the needs of their suffering population but, faced with such a major disaster. details of the plans drown up by these national societies wich the helps of the league delegates are attached, together with assistance already annonced to the league. As previously stated, the need of the drought stricken populations are urgent and immense because of extent of the area affected. The generous support of so many National Societies is deaply ppreciated by all the beneficiaires and by the league. |
