this report is presented in five parts. Chapter one deals with the role of transport in the economic development of the region and the trade of involved in the joint production transport activities. In chapter two the discussion is examplied by providing tools for prediction of the cost performance relationships in road transport operations and showing how these can be used in determining optimal transport conditions in a given medium of production, an example study of the role of transport in cattle movement is presented in chapter III, while chapter IV, presents a mathematical programming model for joint agricultural transport activities. Chapter V, presents the conclusions. |
