Note générale :	The Upper Cretaceous Magothy formation of the Atlantic coastal plain is a seaward-dipping strand-zone deposit of fluviomarine origin that crops out in irregular belt in Maryland. Southwest of the outcrop, the Magothy formation is overlain by younger strata. Chemical analyses of water samples from the Magothy aquifer, Maryland, indicate several hydrochemical facies. The origin of these hydrochemical facies is related to the source of recharge an the chemical processes that occur as water flows downgradient.
