Titre : Solar thermal energy storage Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : H. P. GARG ; S. C. MULLICK ; A. K. BHARGAVA Editeur : Dordrecht [Hollande] : D. Reidel Publishing Company Année de publication : 1985 Importance : XX-642 p. Présentation : couv. ill. en coul., ill., bibliogr. Format : 24x16 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-90-277-1930-0 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : 621.4 Thermique et moteurs primaires Mots-clés : HEAT STORAGE SOLAR ENERGY ENERGY STORAGE THERMAL ENERGY ENERGY ENGINEERING Index. décimale : 621.47 energie solaire Résumé : Starting with descriptions of possible energy storage systems and recent developments in the field, this book moves on to the basics of sensible heat storage and discusses liquid, solid and dual media storage systems. The volume then deals with chemical energy storage, making use of detailed treatments of both thermal dissociation and catalytic reactions. Long-term enrgy storage concepts such as nonconvective solar ponds, aquifers, underground water tanks, heat storage in the ground, etc. are also discussed. In exploring passive heating and cooling concepts and the role of storage material, the book presents some interesting passive designs and compares performances. High temperature heat storage is becoming increasingly important in industry and for solar thermal conversion to electric power, and this topic is given considerable attention. Experimental indusrial systems are described and attempts are made to develop suitable testing procedures for them. This book includes an extensive bibliography, large reference sections, 276 illustrations, and 117 tables. Solar thermal energy storage [texte imprimé] / H. P. GARG ; S. C. MULLICK ; A. K.
