ISSN : CI-06594 By use of distilled water samples in the laboratory, and very clear lakes in the field a technique has been developed where the atmosphere and surface noise effect on Landsat signals of water bodies can be removed. The residual signal is dependent only on the material in the river. The general type and concentration of the material can be determined from LANDSAT tapes. The Bendix Multipectral data analysis system (M-DAS) provided a color categorized image of several hundred lakes. Langues : Anglais (eng)
