Note générale :	In Nigerian farms Norman, Hayward and Hallam carried out an investigation in 1971 involving daily observations of farming activities on 120 hectares of farmer's cotton, 32 hectares of wich were grown according to some recommandations the yields obtained on this project varied greatly, not only as expected for different methods of growing the crop but also between fields where recommended practices had been employed. This paper attempts to determine which factors had the greatest influence on cotton yield.
