La Fondation Dreyer est une ONG allemande à but non lucratif qui œuvre dans l’amélioration des conditions de vie de la population rurale et pour un développement intégré de la commune de Dano au Sud-Ouest du Burkina Faso. Elle a fait plusieurs réalisations dont l’aménagement de plaines cultivables pour une pratique de l’agro-écologie en toutes saisons, le micro crédit (semences améliorées et engrais aux producteurs), le parrainage d’enfants au Lycée provincial de Dano, la construction et la réhabilitation d’infrastructures hydrauliques et scolaires (environ 37 millions pour la rénovation de deux écoles et la construction d’un forage), etc. Pour cette étude intitulée « caractérisation et optimisation d’un foyer à « dolo » équipé d’un brûleur à huile végétale» en collaboration avec la fondation 2IE, dont l’objectif est de soutenir les populations rurales dans la lutte contre la désertification et la pauvreté. Après plusieurs tentatives non abouties, la Fondation Dreyer a été mise en contact, par l’intermédiaire de Son Excellence le Laarlé Naaba, Ministre du Mooro Naaba, avec un inventeur Burkinabè, M. Boubacar Zongo, qui avait mis au point un petit foyer domestique utilisant l’huile de Jatropha brute comme combustible. La Fondation a demandé à cet inventeur, en l’associant aux chercheurs du LBEB de 2iE, de construire et mettre au point en l’agrandissant le même type de foyer à huile pour des marmites de grandes tailles destinées à la préparation du « dolo » (bière de mil), activité à l’origine de 70% de la consommation totale du bois de chauffe à Dano soit 6442 tonnes/an (Rapport final de SYLLA Facinet : « Analyse des besoins en bois énergie des dolotières pour la substitution à huile de Jatropha Curcas dans la Commune Rurale de Dano/Burkina Faso », 2009). Dans l’optique de présenter des données techniques fiables pour amorcer le lancement de la fabrication en série, la Fondation Dreyer a voulu faire mener des tests scientifiques sur un prototype pour faire ressortir les performances énergétiques et procéder à toutes les améliorations possibles. Les analyses et travaux du présent mémoire ont permis de connaitre l’efficacité de ce type de foyer et aussi de fournir des données de base pour la préparation d’un dossier crédit carbone. A l’issue de notre étude il ressort qu’effectivement les foyers à « dolo » à huile végétale comportent des avantages puisqu’ils ont un rendement thermique de 43% contre 35% pour le foyer « dolo » à bois amélioré, ils évitent aux femmes certaines corvées liées à l’utilisation du bois et d’être exposées à la chaleur du feu et à la fumée.
Abstract : Dreyer's Foundation is a German NGO, non-profit that works in improving living conditions of rural population and an integrated development of the town of Dano in southwestern Burkina Faso. She made several achievements including the development of cultivated plains to the practice of agro-ecology in all seasons, the establishment of school canteens, etc.. For this study, "Characterization and optimization of a home for" dolo "with a vegetable oil burner" in collaboration with 2iE Foundation, which aims to support rural communities in the fight against desertification and poverty. After several unsuccessful attempts, the Dreyer Foundation was put in contact, through His Excellency the Laarlé Naaba, Minister of Mooro Naaba, Burkina Faso with an inventor, Mr. Boubacar Zongo, who had developed a small hearth using crude jatropha oil as fuel. The Foundation asked the inventor, by linking researchers from LBEB in 2iE, build and develop by enlarging the same type of household oil for boilers of large sizes for the preparation of "dolo"(millet beer), activity for 70% of the total consumption of firewood in Dano (6442 tons / year in Sylla, 2009) ... In order to provide reliable technical data to initiate the launch of mass production, the Foundation Dreyer wanted to conduct scientific tests on a prototype to highlight the energy performance and make all possible improvements. The analysis and work of this memory have to know the effectiveness of this type of home and also provide basic data for the preparation of a carbon credit file. At the end of our study it appears that indeed the home of "dolo" vegetable oil have advantages because they have a thermal efficiency of 43% against 35% for the home "dolo" improved wood they avoid women some chores related to the use of wood and be exposed to the heat of fire and smoke. |
