A l’instar des pays sahéliens, l’agriculture irriguée constitue au Burkina Faso, un axe stratégique de développement agricole. Dans ce cadre, le Projet de Valorisation de l’Eau dans le Nord (PEVN) a prévu entre autres, la construction du barrage de Liptougou d’une capacité d’environ 40.000.000 m3 et l’aménagement de périmètres irrigués en amont en vue de contribuer à la diversification et à la croissance de la production agricole et partant à l’amélioration des revenus des exploitants. En effet, le volume d’eau stocké au niveau du barrage, permet de sécuriser la production hydro-agricole d’hivernage, mais aussi de mieux valoriser les terres agricoles en saison sèche. L’étude révèle que Liptougou recèle des potentialités hydro-agricoles qu’il convient de valoriser. Aussi, l’environnement socio-économique et culturel de Liptougou est-il favorable à la création et à la mise en valeur du périmètre. Se fondant sur ces atouts, un système d’irrigation assortit d’un schéma d’aménagement a été proposé. Ce système est de type californien conformément aux études de bases. L’analyse économique et financière laisse présager une rentabilité du projet. Cependant, des actions pour une organisation rationnelle et une gestion efficiente du périmètre aménagé s’imposent pour faire de Liptougou un pôle de développement économique.

Abstract : Following the example of the Sahelian countries, the irrigated agriculture (farming) establishes (constitutes) in the Burkina Faso, a strategic axis of agricultural development. In this frame (executive), the Project of Valuation of the Water in the North (PEVN) planned among others, the construction of the dam of Liptougou of a capacity about 40.000.000 m3 and the arrangement(development) of perimeters(scopes) irrigated upstream to contribute to the diversification and to the growth of the production agricultural and leaving to the improvement of the income of the developers. Indeed, the volume of water stored at the level of the dam, allows to reassure (secure) the hydro-agricultural production of wintering, but also to value better farmlands in dry season. The study reveals that Liptougou conceals hydro-agricultural potentialities which it is advisable to value. So, the socioeconomic and cultural environment of Liptougou is favorable to the creation and to the development of the perimeter (scope). Basing (Establishing) itself on these assets (trump cards), a system of irrigation matches of a development program was proposed. This system is of Californian type (chap) according to the studies of bases. The economic and financial analysis lets augur a profitability of the project. However, actions (shares) for a rational organization and an efficient management of the fitted out perimeter (scope) are imperative (lead) to make of Liptougou a pole of economic development. |
