Abstract : In order to improve the conditions for access to drinking water in the suburban areas of the city of Niamey, the government opted for the construction of the hydraulic infrastructure in which this project entitled "Technical study of a reservoir reinforced concrete (R16) on 2000 m3 tower, reinforcement of the supply and distribution network in Niamey ".
The main objective of this study is the design and sizing of a water tower capable of meeting the needs of the population of Sagagorou Kogorou and Niamey 2000. First, the water needs of these populations have made it possible to design a water tower. A tank with a capacity of 2000 m3 for a population of 104,343 inhabitants. This project will have a positive impact on the lives of these populations by creating 8,217 private connections and 45 standpipes planned for the project.
Subsequently, the descent of loads and the sizing of the tank structure were done manually. On the basis of the altitudes of the study area there emerges a raised tank of 25 m which will be built of reinforced concrete according to the rules of art and standards BAEL 91 modified 99, Fascicle 74 and U.D.T 13.12. The different constituent parts of the water tower are dimensioned either in compression or in tension or both at once, thence the sections of steels of the whole structure were obtained and presented in a plan of execution.
Finally, the sizing was followed by an assessment of the overall cost of the work estimated at one billion five hundred ninety-eight million nine hundred and sixty-nine thousand four hundred and sixty-nine 1,598,969,469 FCFA including tax. |
