Note générale :	The working group on education and training of the coordinating council of the International Hydological Decade had, amoung its taks the study of curricula. In order to facilitate its studies on curricula and texbooks, the working decided to analyse a selected number of texbooks.The working group undertook a more concise analysis in the form of synoptic tables, of a greater number of texbooks. In accordance with the foregoing, the booklet consists of two parts. Part A contains the detailed analysis of 19 different works published in English, French, Russian, Spanish, German and Italian. Part B, contains a comparison of the contents of the hydrological texbooks available to the compilers regarless of the language in which they are published. Part B consists of three parts : books referring to general hydrology, hydrology of subsurface water and hydrometry.
