Note générale :	The river Niger commission net at its VII th ordinary session in Ouagadougou , from 1st to 3rd February 1973 . Were present the commissionners of Cameroun , Dahomey, Burkina Faso , Mali, Niger, and Nigeria . Were also attending the meeting as observers , UNDPCEA , UNESCO,CIEH, US- AID, ORSTOM representatives the discussions proceded in a spirit of brotherhood and perfect understanding . At the end of the debates , the commission was satisfied to note that some of the subjectives it had held during the last session at Cotonou . The commission has been informe of proposals prepared by the president of the president of Niger . The following tobic were also examined regulations of navigation on the river Niger and is its tributaires , region project of hte documentation centre , renumeration of personnel etc.... Before parting , the commission requests the new acting president to be its spokesman to the government of uper volta , to express their very deepest gratitude for the warn welcome to the participants , and all the facilities accorded to the administrative secretary .
