Note générale :	Irrigation affects water ressources in dsitictly different ways depending on topographic geomorphologic, climatic and hydrologic features. Development of planning measures for the control of expected changes of runoff and water regime of reservoirs are complecated and important. Therefore, this technical document will formulate measures which should be implemented to make reliable evaluation of the posible nature and scale of water regime changes to be expected from irrigation development. Two aspects of the above problem are presented in this technical document : (1) the background of irrigation development and the physical esence of the proceses of irrigation effect on the water regime are analyzed / (2) rates of changes of streamflow regime and water quality in some irrigated basins of the world are evaluated, methods for collection dan analysis of the basic information are given.
