A the time when the septic (LRS) is introduced (about 50 years ago), the theoretical considerations for its construction emphasized the retention of faeces and urine in the first compartment for as long a period of time as considered necessary for this period is just as good for the destruction of developmental forms of less resistant intestinal parasites is discovered only by chance. A different situation exist as regards more resistant intestinal parasites, of which ascaris-1 is a typical representative. Parallel which the endemic epidemic situations originating from unsanitary disposal of human excreta, the control of parasitic infestations spread from the same polluting sources is a problem of growing important in present day preventive medecine. In many countrie, the infestations with ascaris-1 and other resistant parasites are wides pread and persistent. Consequently the requirements are creasing the sanitary disposal of feacal matter fermented in privices and for a construction of these privities that will alow complete destruction of all causative agents of desease. |
