Abstract : The study has for objective to improve the road circulation in the city of Kiramuruzi. The development economic of this city, these last years entailed an increase of its urbanization rate. The displacement of people and goods makes itself mainly by road. The automotive park believes 470 vehicles in 2003 to 945 in 2013 whereas the capacity of the road doesn't evolve. It leads the congestion bound to the problems of disorganized circulation. This phenomenon constitutes the main reason of the accidents driving to stress and the loss of the time to the work of the drivers. The results of numbering between 6h and 19h for the three studied main axes show that the traffic is raised Tuesday and Saturday that are the days of the Kiramuruzi market too much especially. The investigations that we achieved to employees show that 72% among them are often put in delays by the problem of congestion. The report coming from the TPGD also shows that the number of accident increased from 12 to 44 between 2004 and 2014.
To limit the number of accidents and the problem of the congestion, we suggested arranging the station of Kiramuruzi, to reinforce the capacity of the existing road, to organize the public transportation and the road controls better. Besides the sensitization of the drivers is important on the rules of road traffic in order to encourage the respect of the highway code.
The cost of the project has been estimated to five hundred seventy-three millions two hundred sixty-three thousand five hundred sixteen (573 263 516) Rwandan francs.Mémoire FPL Master d’ingénierie Génie Civil.
