Abstract : This memoir deals with the results of the survey of the extension of rice-growing lowland development for the benefit of the populations of two villages, one located in the town of Thiou and the other in that of Koumbri, in the worth of Burkina Faso.
This development is proposed in the context of productions crises.
A basical diagnosis has been made on two existing perimeters, which allowed to find out some insufficiences in the labours and in the laying out in general. The survey of the extension of Ingare site (Thiou) favoured the conception of a bund following a contour line covering 5 hectares for 50 farmers and so (the same process) at Koumbri.
The proposed labours have been implemented by the plan of action rice-growing and will help to stock a uniform water sheet in ricefields. This technical memoir displays basical technical surveys which allow to identify the interests of such a laying out for the populations and to determine the physiographie caracteristics of the watershed and the lowland.
The final bright option, following the farming habits of the populations in these areas is the rain-fed rice growing. The develpment for the extension by 5 hectares of the lowland of Ingare is estimated to 8, 280,674 FCFA (including all taxes) and that of Koumbri estimated to 7, 403,903 FCFA (including all taxes), let the unit cost be 1, 617,465 and 1, 285,697 FCFA (including all taxes) per hectare, for Ingare’s lowland and Koumbri respectively. |
