Abstract : The village of Logué is located in the commune of Ouo, Comoé province, Cascades region in Burkina Faso. With an estimated population of 3.941 in 2020, it has a 62.4% access rate to potable water supplied exclusively by human-powered pumps and wells. It is in this context that the Ministry of Water and Sanitation (MWS) initiated a project for the realization of a Simplified Drinking Water Supply System (AEPS) for the benefit of this village. This study: "design and sizing of a simplified drinking water supply system: case of Logué, commune of Ouo" sheds light on the technical design of the works of the drinking water supply system (water tower, drilling, network management, fire hydrant, private connection, functionality structure, regulation structure and protection of installations). With a population estimated at 9010 inhabitants at the end of the project in 2040, a daily need of 275.82m3, a water tower of 80m3, the Drinking Water Supply System (AEP) will be supplied by a 13m3/h and another to be carried out at least 4.5m3 / h. It will serve eight (08) standpipes, each equipped with two 0.5l / s taps and private connections from a branched network. The demand for water from standpipes represents 70% of that of the AEPS against 30% for private connections. The overall cost of the project was estimated at 255 847 117 FCFA including tax and a cost of cubic meter of water at 243 FCFA. The installations of the AEP system will be powered by photovoltaic panels and a back-up generator. Particular emphasis was given to the management method by the future farmer, also an environmental management plan was proposed to mitigate the environmental impacts of the project. |
